Dr. Hoene\u2019s decision to pursue a career in this field is rooted in her personal experience of being born with severe hearing loss. From an early age, she developed a keen interest in understanding the causes and implications of hearing loss after being fit with her own pair of hearing aids. She possesses a strong enthusiasm for studying the auditory system and connecting her knowledge to her own experiences with hearing loss. This personal insight enables her to empathize with her patients, fostering a sense of understanding and trust during her consultations. She hopes that this connection provides her patients with reassurance and confidence that their needs will be effectively addressed. She is particularly focused on serving adult and geriatric populations, conducting hearing tests, facilitating hearing aid fittings and performing vestibular assessments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
