Diagnostic testing plays an important role in determining the condition responsible for a patient\u2019s suffering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"types-of-diagnostic-tests\">Types of Diagnostic Tests<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are a number of diagnostic tests available, ranging from X-rays and CT scans to more in-depth tests. Here are some of the most common:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>Acoustic Immittance Measures.<\/strong>\u00a0These tests evaluate the eardrum and middle ear and are used to determine which part of the ear is affected by hearing loss.<\/li><li><strong>Audiometry.<\/strong>\u00a0This <a href=\"https:\/\/ccoasc.com\/audiologist\/hearing-loss-testing\/\">hearing exam<\/a> measures your ability to hear different sounds, pitches and frequencies.
